Welcome, to the Wild Man Wyatt Racing Website. Wyatt Corneillie has been practicing at local tracks within Florida, for the last 3 months. On Thursday November 8th, Wyatt went up to East Bay Raceway to practice with the Florida Mini Sprints for the last weekend in the points series. Practice went well on Thursday and only a few things needed to be changed. When Wyatt got to the track on Friday he was shocked that the club was going to let him race. So November 9th was Wyatt's first race in his Mini-Sprint Car. For the first time out on the track for an official race things went well. Since it was his first run with the crew, he had to start in the back of the pack. For the Feature he had 22 cars to deal with. He finished 14th out of 22 cars. What a great job he did. We spent the night up in Tampa and got ready for the next day. On Saturday the 10th, for the feature Wyatt had 25 cars in the field. Wyatt finished 15th tonight. Great Job Wyatt.
The 2008 Racing Season is Here!!!
Wyatt is ready to go. Looking forward to getting out and racing at East Bay for the Winternationals.
What a weekend! The 32nd Annual Winter Nationals at East Bay Raceway has started and what a start it was. Wyatt received his First Checkered Flag Saturday Night during the B-Main. This will be a weekend that will not be forgotten, with help from friends and family the night was a success.
As the Winter Nationals have come and gone, Wild Man Wyatt, ended up with a great finish for his first try at the Winter Nationals, ending with a "9th Place Finish" in the Points. Wyatt was able to experience many
new things and was also a guest on
on February 4th. We look forward to the new racing season for 2008 with the Florida Mini Sprint Assoc and next year for the Winter Nationals will bring a more seasoned driver to the competition.
Will be soon...Getting things ready to go in Georgia.
We were at the "Ocala Speedway" on Friday night, April 4th. The Heat Races were able to be ran, but then the clouds opened and we were flooded. It was the first time that the Florida Mini Sprints had raced at this track and hopefully we will be able to finish the feature's on June 6th. We look forward to racing there next time.
What a great turnout for the cheering crew for "Wild Man Wyatt". Friends and family were able to come join us and have some fun on a Saturday night at the New Hendry Country Speedway in Clewiston. The weather was great and the Florida Mini Sprints came out to enjoy our first night of racing at this track. For the Heat Race, Wyatt started out in 6th on a fresh, fluffy track and was able to finish in 3rd. For the Feature Race it was exciting. Starting in the 10th position when the Green Flag dropped, but then getting Freight-trained to the back. Wyatt was able to come back to 6th position, when we were finally able to get a long green flag run. But tonight just wasn't going to be Wyatt's night. With only 3 laps to go another car went DOT (dead on track) and Wyatt wasn't able to get around him, so had to spin out to avoid the situation. That mishap put Wyatt in the back of the pack and with only 3 laps to go, not able to make up much ground. For tonight Wyatt came out with an 11th place finish. Next time we'll get em'.
May 10, 2008 - Hendry Country Speedway
Tonight at Hendry Country there was a great showing of Mini Sprints. 20 cars came out to the track tonight to give the fans some excitement. 2 Heat Races would run to decide the lineup for the Feature Race. Wyatt started in 8th position for the Heat Race, 2 laps in he spins in the #2 corner and has to restart in the back of the pack. Race goes on and Wyatt reaches 4th with only 1 lap left, he spins again in the #2 corner. Such a disappointment, but the "Wild Man " will come back in the feature ready to "Get it done in the dirt." For the Feature Race he starts in 19th place. There was ups and downs for this race. Wyatt moved up well during the race, but then his throttle stuck and was only able to use his brakes to maneuver. For the Feature, Wyatt ended up in 14th place but it was a new experience for the young driver to overcome.
Thanks to "RPM Graphics" one of our sponsors, here are a few photos of the new design on Wyatt's car...

May 24, 2008 - North Florida Speedway
As the checkered flag waved in the first Heat Race, someone was elated but Wyatt's car was up in flames. Coming to the checkered flag in Corner # 2, Wyatt's car popped and started on fire. We now know that Wyatt can get out in record time. Wyatt was fine but the car is in disarray. After the initial shock, Wyatt told us what he saw, "A puff of white smoke then flash flames inside of my helmet." It was a night of first's for the "Wild Man Wyatt Team", car on fire and an engine that blew up. So, as we are heading home early tonight, at least we had one good moment, when one of our own sponsor's wins the race...Harold Matthews with Matthew Motorsports.
June 14, 2008 - New Hendry Country Speedway
Back at our local track...As the temperature is getting hotter in the south, the heat on the track was even hotter. What a show the "Florida Mini Sprints" put on. With 19 cars coming out, the Feature Race was one of the best. Wyatt was struggling after getting caught up in a pack of cars with some bumping and grinding. After a few more laps, Wyatt pulled into the middle to wait out the rest of the race. When he came in all he could say was "The car was shacking so bad, I didn't know if something in the new engine was coming apart or if it was something else that was wrong." Come to find out that after getting caught in the pack, we now have a bent axle. Hey, it's racing...Even though the night wasn't the greatest for the "Wild Man Wyatt" team, it was a great night of action on the track.

Can't believe how the time has gone. Many things have changed since I last raced. We are in the process of moving and my car has already been packed up for the move. Hopefully once we get settled, we will be able to start up racing again. So, I would like to Thank everyone that has helped us along the way. Keep on checking back and we will let you know when things are settled....
